Girls Trip

I'm so excited, not only because we got through Monday - brutal - and that I'm moving in to my dorm in only a few weeks - gasp - but because Jessica, my mom, and I are taking a girls trip down to Kentucky this weekend! We're driving down Thursday afternoon, and staying until Sunday night!

Jessica and I are sitting down for coffee later today to plan out the details of the trip, and of course discuss coordinating outfits, but I'm very excited. Not only will I get to take one more quick tour of Bellarmine, but I'll be able to show Jessica!

I'm sure lot's of shopping will go on, so I'll be sure to take a lot of pictures, especially now that I have a functioning phone and camera! I really want to try and do an actual trip recap, instead of just sharing family photos, because even I'm not interested in those, let's be honest.

You can read previous Kentucky Posts here, and here!

Here are so things I wish would be in my suitcase:

Hey, did you know the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is going on?

Have you been living under a rock? Even if you are, you may still know about this sale. Seriously, it's everywhere. You're at the mall? Anniversary sale bags. Online? BLOGS EVERYWHERE. Here I am, making a post about it! #BASIC

Here are some of my favorite items:

What have you picked up so far?

iPhone 5s Cases

Time to cross off another item on my 19 Before 19 List! I've finally switched to iPhone! Thank goodness. I chose the iPhone 5s 32gb in Silver/White. My droid was dead, like, really dead, so this phone was a necessity. I'm thinking about upgrading to the 6+ in a few months after they release a new phone in the fall and the price goes down a bit.

Right now, I'm currently rocking this cute case:

and I'm waiting for a white monogram decal to put on to spice up the case a bit!
Side note: I may or may not have spent like $15 on decals yesterday. #youknowyouhaveaproblemwhen
How could I pass this up!?
(I'll be sure to post about it when my decal cover comes in!)

Anyways, although the iPhone 5s is an older phone, there are still tons of cute cases out there!
Take a look:
What case do you have on your phone?

Friday 5

Alright, so I'm basically the worst blogger ever, let's just get that out of the way right now. I've been so terrible at consistent posting this months. In other news, my phone has been broken since last weekend and I think I'm going crazy. On the bright side-- iPhone 6+ here I come!!! (mom and dad, if you're reading this, I love you soo much) ;)

Anyways here's my:

As promised, I thought I'd share my first impressions of the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous liquid foundation. I've been using it for a week and my first impressions with it are great! I chose the lightest shade (105) and I think it matches my skin tone really well. I apply it with a flat top foundation brush and it gives me great coverage all day! I'll be sure to post a full review after I've been using it for a while longer!

My mom (+Shawn) and I popped by the Oakbrook Mall Lilly Pulitzer store opening yesterday! It's the first actual Lilly Store that I've been in and it's too cute! Although I didn't purchase anything - mostly because I'm still having an agenda crisis - I enjoyed browsing the newest collections. My favorite part would have to be the Merman holding the Stanley Cup that they hid in one of the murals! There were a ton of people there and like I said, no phone, so I didn't get any pictures, but if you live in the Chicago area, I recommend you stop by!

So I've yet again fallen in love with a wallet. I need help.

I mean....

I'm less than a month out from move in.... and I still haven't found my bedding.
I have a specific vision in my mind, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. YAY!
I'm definitely not ready to move in yet, I have not purchased what I need, and my room is basically a disaster zone.

I've made quite a few trips to target recently, and let me just say, the $5 DVD section is my favorite.
Recently, I've picked up 4 of my favorite movies!

I don't even know what this post was really, but hopefully you'll come back next week for more normal posts?

Tennis Skirt 2 Ways

I'll be honest with you guys; if I could wear my Lulu Lemon tennis skirt everyday, I would. That thing is so darn comfortable, yet something about those ruffles on the back make it so adorable and okay to wear with something besides tennis shoes. I want one in every color. Okay, maybe just black and this adorable coral color!

I have the white version, and wear it practically all the time. Two ways I love to wear this skirt are for working out, or running errands. I think this skirt is perfect to pair with a polo and tennis shoes to golf, or jacks and a cute watch to run errands.
My motto these days has been "Put a cardigan on." Honestly, half the days last semester when I was wearing a high school t-shirt or more likely, my UK basketball t, I would also be wearing one of my favorite cardigans. Think they add so much to such a simple outfit and can make it look much more put together!

Monday Motivation

Trust me. I know how difficult it can be to pull yourself out of bed in the morning, especially when it's a Monday. So grab your cup of coffee, preferably in a cute anthropology mug, and get pumped.

(All images are pins from my Pinterest board 'Motivation')

Of course, my favorite form of motivation to get stuff done is watching Legally Blonde. Perhaps not the best use of time, but something about the way "Elle Woods" carries herself and keeps it all together really motivates me to work hard and stay organized.

Motivated yet?

In case you need a little more motivation, check out these great mugs from Ashley Brooke Designs!

Halfway Through 19 Before 19

So, somehow, I'm already halfway through my 18th year. That's crazy to me! I'm only six months away from being 19! I'm just as close to being 21 as I am 16: even crazier.

You may remember this post from January. I recapped my 18 before 18 and created a new 19before 19 list. How would I describe my progress so far? abysmal. Let's review

Current Beauty Favorites

As much as I like to think I change up my beauty routine, I don't. I pretty much stick to my Bareminerals, Naked Palettes, and Revlon 3D Photoready mascara. Recently however, I found a few fun products that I've really enjoyed!

Side note: my skin has been breaking out a ton recently (yuck) so I'm planning on picking up the Ready Set Gorgeous Covergirl foundation today! I'll be sure to share my first impressions and a full review in the future!

Handbag Love

If you know me in real life, then you would know that I carry my beloved Bilberry Longchamp with me EVERYWHERE I go. I received the tote for my 18th birthday and have essentially carried it as everything from a dance bag to my every day "purse." If you know me in real life, you would also know that I don't have a ton of handbags, let alone designer ones, in general. I have a monogrammed one, a coach cross body, and a couple of other ones from various department stores, but, I do have serious purse envy. I'm currently on a Louis Vuitton kick and love browsing Portero.com for Chanel Flaps and Hermès Birkins. I even have an ongoing list, sort of like a bucket list, of bags that I would one day like to own. I partially blame this recent obsession with watching too many of MakeupbyTiffanyD's videos on her recent Louis Vuitton purchases, but I've always had an eye for high-end, well made items.

I would much rather purchase a bag that I know will last a lifetime, or two, from a company that has great customer service, than a bag from Kohls that might only last me a few months (speaking from experience here). As much as I'd love to spend my graduation money on a Neverfull or a lovely wallet, a new laptop is such more practical and necessary.

Here are some of the bags I'm currently lusting after:

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this tote? When I first saw it in Tiffany's video, I though, ehh it's okay, but after thinking about for a few more days, I decided I really need one and it's precious. So, if anyone would like to purchase one for me, let me know. (only kind of kidding here)

On Trend: Clear Sunglasses

I picked up a pair of clear sunglasses a couple of weeks ago and despite my initial skepticism, I've worn them almost every day since!

I've seen Reese Witherspoon rocking them the past few months, and when I saw a pair for under $5 at Charlotte Russe, I couldn't pass them up!

It's rumored that Reese's clear shades are by the brand Westward Leaning. They can be found on the Shop Bop website and are in about the same price range as Ray-Ban. I don't know if I would spend that much on a pair of "trendy" sunglasses, but there are plenty of alternatives out there!

So tell me, would you splurge on a pair of see-through shades?

Beautiful Homes

So, I'm supposed to be cleaning my room right now for an upcoming party, but I'm here instead. Shocker.

It would only take you a couple of seconds to realize that I have a pinterest problem. I have close to 14,000 pins on pinterest, and over 70 boards. Problem? yes. Do I care? no.

Make sure you give me a follow; you can find all of the images referenced below on my pinterest!

My favorite board, by far, is "For the Home I've yet to Own"

Come with me as we embark on a journey through gorgeous homes.

As long as I work hard the next four years, I'm sure I'll end up owning a home as gorgeous as these one day!
